Attica won their football game against Holley, 50-15.
Thomas Vanek scored the lone goal in regulation for the Sabres.
Ales and Drew score in the shootout to make it a 2-1 win for the Sabres, and watching the boys embrace like that after the first game made my heart soar.
Basically, today was fantastic.

They were so happy. And so am I. I almost had a heart attack watching that game. I love hockey!
I did, too! Especially the last few moments in overtime. It was so nerve wracking, even with it just being the first game of the season.

It was so nice to see them so happy. They looked like little kids out there, like a weight that had been sitting since April had been lifted off of their collective shoulders.
Definitely a good sign to see. It keeps them motivated, and plus, this was a better start to the season than last year was.
